Today in Year 5, the children used their knowledge and understanding from their FANTASTIC balanced arguments about Zoos, to inform their judgment about zoos and the natural world. We watched two different videos to help us compare the two and the children collected lots of vocabulary in their magpie books. The children came up with words such as isolated; depressed and worthless, which we compared against; luxurious, colonies and rich. It was clear which environment was more positive for the animals! This new vocabulary will inspire their narrative writing this week!
