Think 10 or 9 is fine?

Today in year 2 we were looking at choosing the most efficient mental strategy to work out the answer to addition sums. The children had decide if they would use their knowledge of number bonds to work out the answer or whether they would use 10-1 to work out the answer to an adding nine calculation.
