What do babies need?

In Year 2, we've been learning about what babies need as part of our new science topic. We had some interesting debates about items that were essential for survival and items that were beneficial for health and wellbeing.

We learnt that all humans need food, water, air, warmth and shelter for survival. We also learnt that babies need a caregiver to help them eat, drink and keep warm. We learnt that toys, books, prams and dummies were good for babies’ health and wellbeing but not essential for survival.
