Easter update from Warhol Class

Happy Easter everyone! We hope you've all had a wonderful sunny weekend with your families and you haven't guzzled TOO many delicious Easter eggs...

We love seeing all the interesting ideas and activities that Warhol Class have been busy with whilst in lock-down.

Fletcher has been very busy at home making Lego houses, a Dino Land (complete with play pool), a playdoh steam train and an allotment like his Grandad's, with creepy crawlies as well as vegetables! We think he has a fantastic imagination and we love seeing all his creations!

Allana has been spending time on arts and crafts, including sewing, which she persevered with at home to create this fantastic Easter bunny! She's been practising her spellings and maths and has been video calling her grandparents every day to practise her reading! We think this is a fantastic idea and we bet they love hearing her read too.

Kayden has been doing lots of baking and has made cupcakes, banana cake, chocolate strawberries and even a gingerbread house. He's toasted marshmallows in the garden and has been keeping active by walking, skipping and playing football.

Poppy created an informative fact file about red pandas after being inspired by Chester Zoo live on the internet. She had some fun with maths by counting the different coloured smarties and making a bar chart. She also made some ice cream bread with her family, which sounded very interesting!

Zak has been busy learning the recorder. He can read notes B, A and G and play them. We enjoyed hearing him play on our 'Show and Teach' call on Zoom!

Check out the pictures below to see what else our inventive Year 2s have been up to!
