This week, the children in Reception have focused their learning around the nursery rhyme Incey Wincey Spider! We decided that we knew the original nursery rhyme so well that we wanted to change it! The children had all sorts of creatures climbing up the spout and unfortunately, instead of only rain, the creatures had to contend with thunderstorms and snow and hail, oh my!

The children also decided that, as there was so much snow on the ground after the creatures' ordeal, they might as well have a little fun with it! The children wrapped up nice and warm to play in the snow and worked together to make snow people, snow castles and even a snow dog!
