Those savvy Mayans!

Interpreting maps and climate data, we understood how difficult it was to farm the lands of the Ancient Maya with mountains, swamp lands and long, dry periods. Those savvy Mayans had different farming techniques for overcoming these difficulties. We were particularly impressed with the terrace farming technique.
