Y5 Newletter

All children in Year 5 have been impressing us with their writing over the last couple of weeks.  Creating mood and atmosphere by choosing precise language is no mean feat but the children have really risen to the challenge.  We are all excited to use film clips to stimulate more creative writing next week. Dali and Banksy classes have had the pleasure of taking part in mini police workshops every Wednesday afternoon. Thinking about becoming police of the future, so far we have learnt about ASB (anti social behaviour) and road safety, which the children have enjoyed, showing off their Agent Inquirer skills. The highlight of the fortnight though has to be Global Goals Day where each class focussed on a different climate change issue, making persuasive videos using the CLIPS app on the ipad.  If you are in or around the learning zone, you can scan the QR codes to watch the short films.  We are also planning on distributing some via the school Facebook page.
