We have been investigating a wasps' nest that had been kindly donated to the children this week.
It prompted quite the discussion:
"It's a nest!"
"No it's not a nest, a nest is made of sticks! "
"A bird couldn't fit in that nest!"
"It's probably for a small creature!"
The children noticed that the nest was very fragile and were interested to learn more about how it had been made. We looked on the search engines on our iPads and used non fiction books to find out more.
