Last week, Year 4 have focused on Character description in their English lessons. We had great fun describing Mr Dursley and Bellatrix from Harry Potter! We were given vocabulary banks to choose brilliant adjectives, similes and verbs from which all aided our description. Our favourite line was, “With a large pinkish head, round like a prized pig” - Can you guess which character we are describing here?!
By the end of the week, we had created poems about our characters and presented them to each other in the immersion room! We also created actions to aid our description.
This half term we have also started looking at Modern Day London in comparison to all we learnt about Victorian London! Unfortunately, we cannot visit London this year but we will do so virtually today in the immersion room!
