Year 1 have designed African masks. They used paper mache to create prominent features on their masks. They used their fingers to sculpt it and tools to add texture.
They watched this Youtube clip to inspire them.
Once the masks were dry and the paper had turned hard, they were ready to be decorated. The children had to look carefully at their original designs so that they could paint their masks.
You will get the opportunity to see the final products in an exhibition very soon!
