County Basketball Winners

Thursday 8^th November proved to be a successful day for our year 5 and 6 children. The B team came 3^rd in the B string competition demonstrating excellent shooting skills, strong dribbling skills and determination to ensure every opportunity was acted upon. The B string final group was a closely fought contest with goal difference separating the final placings.

The A team made the A string final in what was a close and fiercely fought competition. The team worked tirelessly to keep possession of the ball, worked hard to convert all shooting opportunities and even when under pressure managed to continue supporting each other throughout the competition. As a result of such hard work the children were victorious winning the finals group. This means they will now go on to represent Windhill21 and the Bishops Stortford Partnership at the County Finals in December. I’m sure you join me in wishing the team the best of luck.

Tri golf - County Finalist

Congratulations to all of the Year 3 and 4 children who attended the Partnership Tri Golf Competition. The children had a fantastic day out showcasing their skills which they had been learning in PE lessons this half term. The competition was hosted at Birchwood High School and was attended by several other local primary schools.
Our children absolutely excelled, they showed great determination and team work to come away with both 1st and 2nd places! Both of the teams scores nearly doubling last years winning score! Remarkable!
The winning team will now go on to represent the partnership at the County Finals in July 2019. We wish the team the best of luck.

County Gold Medalists

Congratulations to the year 3 and 4 gym team who went to the County Finals on Wednesday 21st March and won the gold medal! The children out performed 9 other schools at the competition to be crowned County Champions. The team have worked incredibly hard to perfect these routines and all their hard work and commitment has paid off.

Gymnastics County Finalists

Congratulations to our Year 3 and 4 gymnastics team in securing a County Final place after winning Gold at the Bishops Stortford Partnership gymnastics competition. The children have spent many months preparing for this competition at school and all their hard work paid off. This is a fantastic achievement for all those involved and it is the first time this age group has ever finished in the top 3!

The children will go on to represent the whole of the Bishops Stortford Partnership at the County Finals in the Summer Term, with the opportunity to progress to National Finals if they secure a win. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing them the best of luck in the next stage of their journey.
