Year 6 - Newsletter

In year 6 we read the poem ‘Dulce et Decorum est’ and re-enacted ‘going over the top’ during the Battle of the Somme.  We used slow motion to really try to capture the soldiers’ emotions and thoughts as they ran the gauntlet through no-man’s land.  When we returned to class, our writing showed real empathy and maturity. Sharing our work was actually quite emotional - a testament to the children’s writing.
