Year 3 update

In only a four day week Year 3 have certainly been busy.

In maths this week the children have been challenged to solve a range of fraction problems.

In topic the children have been developing their geographical knowledge and skills creating their own maps of the school grounds in preparation for our nature trial. We have also learnt about some counties in the UK.

In science this week the children have learnt about the skeleton and why we have one. They have also explored which animals have skeletons.

In English the children have been introduced to the main characters of a new fable which we will be exploring more in the coming weeks. The children have taken on theses roles with some drama showing expression and freeze framing to show the characters personality. From this the children have written some brilliant character descriptions.

We look forward to more exciting learning next week!
