Wow, what a great 2 weeks year 4 have had! We have been busy starting our new history and geography topic (London) and our new science topic (Electricity). We even built our own circuits this week using the different components, bulb, wires and battery (cell).
This term in geography and history, we will be comparing the differences between modern day London and London in the Victorian times - can you think of any differences or similarities? We found out that in the early Victorian times, children did not have to go to school, many children went to work instead! We also learnt that Queen Victoria was married to her cousin Albert!
We have also been enjoying our new writing unit following the Jane Considine approach. Currently, we are writing a descriptive narrative about the friendly blue umbrella and his journey of love! At first we found the new approach a bit strange but we are getting used to it and are so pleased with the work we have produced this week!
