In Riley Class and across year 3 we have been learning to exchange and regroup to support our written addition of numbers up to 3 digits! Here we played the 'banker game', one person was a banker and had to exchange ones for tens or tens for hundreds- like exchanging pound coins for notes. The other two players took turns to roll the dice and add on to the existing number. There was a race between teams to reach 500, it got very competitive and the children mastered adding on and exchanging.
