This week, as part of our Aztecs topic, Year 5 have been embracing the
Mayan discovery of chocolate.
Deciding that we should design and create our own, slightly sweeter,
chocolate products, the children began their innovation process by testing and
evaluating a variety of bars along with their packaging and nutritional
content.
Following this, they then began testing the properties of different
types of chocolate, using their knowledge of changing states and fair testing in Science.
As we continue, the children will draw together all their hard work and
begin to create their own products.
