The children have been building on their personal and social skills this week by engaging in imaginative play outside. We received a special delivery from Mrs Price this morning... a brand new steam train! The children's imaginations soared as it was placed outside amongst their usual provision.
Led initially by Poppy in the driver's seat, the children got to work bringing chairs to the train for the passengers to sit. Two by two, the chairs appeared, and Rosalee checked how many there were by counting them all.
Neirin uses chalk to mark out the train track and add lights so that the train can travel with ease "during the cloudy days and the dark nights". Blue helps lengthen the track, being careful not to mark it out on the road in case it causes traffic!
As well as Ghana, London and Devon, the children stopped off in Paris, home of the Eiffel Tower. Fletcher made sure that the train track was redirected to get to the tourist hot spot in one journey. Greeting the children at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, was Neirin, taking £1 for each ticket to see the view from the top of the tower.
