In year 5 this week we have been reading the haunting and gory ghost tale; The Highwayman. We have been thinking about the types of language used before creating a wonderful piece of performance poetry in groups of four. Each group were given four musical instruments that best reflected the mood of the poem.
In science our topic is 'Reproduction of living things' and we started by cutting open tulips to identify the male and female parts. Each group had a flower each and carefully took it a part. In PE, we have started learning how to effectively bat and bowl in cricket. This will be leading to a year 5 competition between both classes!!
