Year 3 Volcanic Poetry and Fabulous Forces

This week the children have been writing their own volcanic spine poems. Having developed a range of rich vocabulary as a year group we were able to use this to play around with our word order and line order. The children have been challenged to use alliteration, similes and metaphors. We are very impressed with their creative ideas.

In science this week we have been investigating how different fabrics affect the distance a car travels down a ramp. We found that felt created the most friction therefore caused the car to travel the smallest distance, where as wood and plastic allowed the car to travel the furthest.
