The children have been solving problems this week, trying to work out how best to help Humpty Dumpty. The children were quick to suggest the reasons as to why Humpty fell in the first place. Suggestions ranged from "a bird might have knocked him off" to Oscar thinking that "the top brick of the wall might have had a slope which made him slide off".
Ethan took on the role as Safety Officer and assessed the risk involved with his friends' wall building ventures. He wanted to avoid any further accidents!
Mary and Sam were busy working out how tall the wall needed to be for it to remain steady when Humpty sat on top; "it must have been higher than 37 centimetres for it to have fallen down". Freddie suggested that "if Humpty had a flat bottom or had some sellotape on his bottom he wouldn't have fallen off".
The children then got busy writing suggestions to the King's men for how to fix Humpty Dumpty and how we could avoid any further problems!
