In Science last week we have been identifying trees and creating our own tree ID sheets. We worked in groups to identify Norway Maple trees, Silver Birch trees and Cherry trees. When we found our tree we had to use our group IPAD to take a photo of the whole tree and a photo of the bark. We all had to find a leaf that belonged to our tree and use our scientific eyes to spot birds or bugs on our tree. We were brilliant scientists and worked well in our groups to identify our trees. This week we will be putting our ID sheets together by using the photos we have taken.
We also were lucky enough to have our SCARF online lesson with Nancy and Harold. Our lesson focused on feelings. We discussed what we need to do to look after our bodies and our feelings. We played a game of spin the wheel with Harold where he gave us ideas for activities we could do to look after our bodies and feelings such as mindfulness, creativity, reading a book. We played feelings bingo too- we had to look at faces on a bingo board and say which feeling we thought they were showing- we all won and shouted BINGO! We had so much fun with Harold!
