Gosh! What a busy final week year 5 have had.
In writing this week, the children completed their independent write on whether zoos should stay open or close. The children were extremely successful in arguing fairly for both sides, despite having quite strong personal opinions.
In Art, the children experimented with water colour to create a mood. They then transferred these skills to their topic artwork, where they drew an evacuee and then painted it to convey a mood e.g. anger, sadness, anxiety. We all really enjoyed developing our art skills and the outcomes were fantastic!
Finally, in music, the children were able to watch back their performances of a word war 2 compositions that they created. Whilst watching, they were able to reflect on their performances and become critical thinkers.
