Year 5 Newsletter

Well, what an unexpected end to the week we had in Year 5! We firstly want to mention how proud we are of all the children with how they dealt with news that we we had to return to home learning. And as upsetting this was for lots of children (and adults), we have lots of exciting events to look forward to on our return! The children in Year 5 have settled back seamlessly into the home learning routine and we have been enjoying ourselves with pyjama parties and quizzes which has been uplifting and positive for us all. The children in writing have been writing suspense stories and this is a genre we can tell they are enjoying and the Year 5 team can not cope with all the cliff hangers, we need to know what will happen next!!!! In maths the children have been consolidating their knowledge of shapes and calculating unknown angles using the information available and they have remembered the basics which they have been able to build on.
