We are learning about fractions in year 5. We have been using visual representations to learn about different size of fractions.
We have been using our skills of finding equivalent fractions to place fractions with different denominators on a number line. We are also growing more confident converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions! We are also thinking metacognitively and are now spotting which fractions are larger
without the need to work them out using a written strategy.
If in doubt, WE DRAW IT OUT!
