Today we learnt about the hunger strikes of women in prison. We looked at the mush they were forced to eat and used drama to retell a day in the cells. We showed empathy through our writing. We have been focusing on using past progressive tenses, historical facts and emotions. We really thought about why diaries were written and the benefit they have for historians.
