Suffragetto!!

As part of understanding the social and political context of the time of the suffragettes, the Year 5 teachers re-created an actual game created by the Suffragettes to counter the widespread propaganda of the time about Suffragettes (called ‘Suffragetto!). Similar to drafts, this game could result in capturing opponents pieces but captured Suffragettes would be sent to prison while captured policemen ended up in hospital.
