Year three this term are learning how to play the glockenspiel and have thoroughly enjoyed their music lesson!
We have looked specifically at the D and E notes and the difference in sound based on the position they are on the glockenspiel. We could recognise that the smaller the bar on the instrument the higher the sound!
Here are just a few things we have learnt:
- That there are different notes on a glockenspiel
- That there may be more than of the same note (two E's) but they sound different
- How to keep a rhythm
- High and low sounds (pitch)
