This week year 4 have started a new writing unit about the Iron Man. This started with us discovering that the Iron Man had been to visit the school playground in the night! He left a strange chalk outline of where he had laid down. Kerys worked out it was 18 people long!
After this we looked at lots of different types of metal objects, from rusty horseshoes, pots and pans, cutlery, bins and watering cans! We used these to think of vocabulary based around what we could hear, see and touch.
We also continued our art and DT projects (focusing on London) by drawing Big Ben. We spent lots of time sketching the fine details of the amazing clock and tower. As our DT project this year we will be making Big Ben!
