On Thursday 15th March two teams left Windhil21 and headed to Birchwood High School for the annual Hi 5 netball competition. It was a cold, wet and windy day to be playing netball but all children were in good spirits and ready for the challenge ahead.
To add to the awful weather conditions we came across a broken down car in the middle of the netball courts upon arrival at the competition. This meant that the children had to play more group stages than normal due to a reduced number of courts available. Only one team per group stage were then able to progress through to the finals, unfortunately we didn't make the finals in either the cup or plate competition. However, both our A teams and B teams played incredibly well against tough opposition.
Keira was voted player of the team by her team mates in the cup competition, with Josh being picked out by Mrs Smith for the plate competition. Well done to all of you that participated.
