Enterprise day in Reception

For Enterprise day, the children in Reception have been conducting research in order to find out what makes a good board game. Of course, the children had to play the games to find out what they liked and what they didn't like about the games first.

After this, they fed back to their class and pitched their ideas for improvements that could be made to the game design. Using this information, we made an ultimate board game comprising of all the positive aspects of each game.

We like... pictures, wheels, animal counters, sounds, (more) pictures and bonuses
We don't like... waiting, small numbers, small pictures, long games or boring games

In the afternoon, the children were inspired to create their own board games and enjoyed playing them with their friends. After the creating and testing phase, the children even got thinking about how much they could sell their board game for in the shops!
