The children have been really enjoying their new topic all about colour! Taking inspiration from rainbows and the artist Mark Rothko, we have been exploring colour mixing through painting, food colouring and even light.
When painting a picture for their teacher (whose favourite colours were green, orange and purple), the children quickly realised that they did not have any of their favourite colours in stock! Armed only with red, yellow and blue, the children set to work trying to create a painting that their teacher would love. Just like a real experiment, the children recorded their findings, writing down the colour combinations needed to create all three secondary colours.
