Year 5 newsletter

This week was Parliament week! We learnt about the democratic process and even voted for our favourite school political party! As part of the week, we learnt about different ways that we could make changes and persuade representatives to take action. Words are power so we wrote poems about the impact of climate change on endangered animals and used rhetorical questions to make people think. We look forward to performing these in public in the forthcoming weeks.  As our science topic on space draws to a close, we have been discussing whether or not people should go to Mars and have made compelling arguments as part of our balanced argument texts in our writing.  Finally, we spent some time with the Two Johns, learning about how to safe on line.
