Was Emily Davison a hero?

This afternoon, the children were having a really rich discussion about the reactions from the events at The Derby in 1913. They were debating their opinions to the statements about Emily Wilding Davison and backing their points up with the evidence that we had explored. One main idea considered, was whether or not Emily Davison’s actions would award her to be a hero or not.
