Year 4 has finished their projects exploring the themes behind Global Goal 1: poverty.
First, we investigated how rich our world is in terms of natural resources, goods and products made in different continents. We discovered that some of the richest continents have the poorest people. To illustrate this, the whole year group collaborated on a collage of the world map. We collaged each continent in the goods produced by that continent.
Year 4 also investigated the link between homelessness and poverty. We wrote narratives to show empathy about what it would be like to be homeless. Also, we debated whether we could solve homelessness by giving money to people on the streets. Finally, we produced art work to provoke empathy about homelessness and poverty. What better way to display it than on the sides of a house
