Year 6 Cliff Remembrance Assembly

Well done to Cliff Class for a moving and thoughtful assembly remembering those who have died in war.  The children presented a range of their writing including their WW1 poetry, flashbacks based around War Horse and letters home from the trenches. It was an emotional journey back to those war years with a few more light hearted moments in between. The photos also show the children wearing their handmade felt poppies, a symbol of peace and remembrance.

Year 6 have also been working on their art installation for their Power of Pictures piece.  We have focused on ‘Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions’ as our global goal and have been recycling plastic bottles to create poppies for our artwork.
