Harvest, Autumn and Playdough Hedgehogs!

This week in Potter Class we have learnt all about Harvest Festival
and have enjoyed singing and performing 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow.'
The children got to think about the food that grows in the ground and
learnt why it is picked in Autumn before the cold weather in winter
comes along. We have been reading the story of 'The Little Red Hen.'

We have been learning about the
season 'Autumn.' We have been thinking about all the leaves we can see on the floor and learning to name objects we can find such as conkers, fir cones and acorns. The children have been using the magnifying glasses to explore these natural objects closely. This has stimulated lots of talk.
