Reception: Working those funky fingers!

This week, the children have been open minded to try a variety of different activities. Upon finding some wool, Louie and Luke decided to 'play knitting'... little did they know that Mrs Williams was an expert finger knitter! Soon after, a production line of knitted tassels was underway. The children turned them into key rings, bracelets, necklaces and some even possessed magical powers!

Fine motor development is crucial in early years education as a precursor to a number of different skills, including writing.
