This week in year 6 we have continued to explore our topic of WW1 with our literacy and historical hats on. We have been delving deeper in to our key question of 'Was it fair to ask teenagers to fight in the Great war?' by analysing historical sources to help give us a better picture of the past. Our investigation of the power of peer pressure and propaganda, has left children with conflicting views of our key questions. Each week we add another dimension to answer our topic question as we learn more and more about the great war.
We have been creating flashbacks in literacy, writing as war veterans flashing back to life on the battlefields. We look forward to sharing their final pieces with you soon.
