Today in Science, the Year 5 children looked at the movement of the Earth and the moon. They learned how long it takes for the Earth to rotate on its axis (24 hours), how long it takes for the Earth to orbit the Sun (365 and 1/4 days) and how long it takes for the moon to orbit the Earth (28 days). They created some fantastic models to show this in pairs and presented their facts with their model!
