Year 3 Newsletter

This week the children have been engrossed in writing their own independent suspense stories about a mysterious, secret garden. A visit to the immersion room at the beginning of the week had the children brimming with imaginative ideas. Using the toolkit of literary techniques we've been exploring over the last few weeks, children enjoyed using interesting sentence starters, powerful verbs, adverbs, adjectives and prepositions to make their writing tense and gripping. Some of the children even chose to spend their wet playtime writing their stories up neatly to be displayed. We are so proud of all their efforts!

A very special mention to Noah in Matisse Class who cycled a half marathon on Sunday, as part of the Virtual London Marathon. Noah rode alongside his Mum as she ran to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Well done Noah! What an amazing achievement! We are all very proud of you.
