Year 4 newsletter

Year 4 have had another buys few weeks including our Victorian day, science experiments and immersing ourselves in Jim’s life (a Victorian boy living in a workhouse!)

As part of our Victorian day, we dressed up as poor Victorian children, acted out a street scene with street sellers and pick pockets and followed the rules of a Victorian school!

To inspire our writing, we became Jim. We used drama and freeze frames to recreate the events of Jim’s escape from the workhouse! We then went back to class and wrote about our escape in our diary, reflecting upon our thoughts and feelings throughout the day.

Overall, we have really enjoyed a busy but fun half term and are looking forward to learning about modern day London on our return after the holidays!
