Today in science, the children in Year 5 were exploring lots of evidence to support the conclusion that the Earth, Moon and Sun are approximately spherical. The children had to order their evidence on the time line. This enabled us to see that even though there were lots of opinions the conclusion was reached by many scientists that the Earth is approximately spherical. And not flat!
