Oracy and Writing in role as Ducklings!

We have had a very egg-citing morning! We used drama to re-enact the ducklings hatching from their eggs. We imagined that we were the ducklings curled up in our warm, safe shell and thought about how we would feel as we emerged into the world. Our ideas and vocabulary were inspiring!

We then looked at our plans and used our oracy skills to talk through each step of the journey, sentence by sentence. We rehearsed our writing orally a few times before writing.

Our teachers were ASTOUNDED with our work! Mrs Moore even came to have a look!
