Year 4 have been very busy this week!
In Literacy, we became a crew member aboard the Endurance, travelling through storms, treacherous seas and killing seals for food. We wrote a diary entry telling all about what life at sea was like, how we missed home and how we pulled together as a team to lift spirits.
In Science we have started our new topic ‘sound’ and kicked it off by learning where and how sound was discovered. Did you know that sound travels in waves? And that there is no sound is space because space itself is a vacuum?!
For Guided Reading, we have been working our way through Boy by Roald Dahl and we are absolutely loving finding out about Dahl’s childhood. We are up to A Drive in a Motor Car where Dahl almost loses his nose in a car accident! Ew!
