Chocolate in the forest!

This afternoon, Rousseau class were lucky enough to visit the school forest! We were investigating the melting points of ice and chocolate. By heating both on a stove, we found out that ice has a lower melting point that chocolate, meaning it melts at a lower temperature.

After we had completed our science investigation (and had a snack of apple and chocolate!) we put our Arctic survival skills to the test and built dens. We discussed that we couldn’t pretend to be in Antarctica because there aren’t any trees! We had to follow two rules - it had to fit one person inside and it had to be vaguely waterproof! Check out our creations....
