In our RE lesson today the children recapped the story of Christmas and we looked at the origins of some modern day, Christmas celebrations, including gift giving and feasting. We then discussed as a class what Christmas means to us and whether, somewhere in the mix of Christmas, the TRUE meaning has been lost. Lots of children agreed that Christmas is about spending time with loved ones and having a day of peace and joy and anyone could celebrate such things. What do you think?
