Yesterday, Kandinsky Class had a lovely treat when they visited the forest. We were greeted with a roaring fire and christmassy decorations around each of the logs at the log circle. Mrs Rawding told us lots of interesting facts about how the fire keeps burning and made sure we were safe at all times.
We were then given a surprise visit from Mrs Moore! She came up to tell us that after our wonderful persuasive writing and seeing us behave so well in the forest, she *wouldn't* be cutting down the forest after all! What a relief! There was lots of cheering!
After lots of singing along to Christmas songs and reminiscing about the best times in the forest so far this year, we were able to carefully toast our own marshmallows on the fire with help from Mrs Rawding.
And to top it all off, we had lovely warming hot chocolate and biscuits as well.
It was such a lovely afternoon up in the forest and the children were all brilliantly behaved. A super end to our topic!
