In English this week, Year 3 have been using all their knowledge about Ancient Egyptians to write a set of instructions on how to mummify a body. They certainly did not spare any of the gory details! We are so proud of their progress in writing this term. They have all put so much effort in and it's fantastic to see them take so much pride in their work.
In Science, the children have been investigating which surfaces and materials produce the most friction when a car is rolled down a ramp. They worked in groups and discussed all the ways we could make it a fair test.
Will felt produce much friction? |
What about bubble wrap? |
"The corrugated foam is bumpy but the ridges are only small so the wheels should go over easily." |
In music, the children have been learning sign language as an alternative to singing. Here they are expressing themselves beautifully to "Let Your Spirit Fly" by Joanna Mangona.
